Being on the move again I thought it was time to finish a couple of projects that I had around the house.  The vase I brought for  50cents, the statue $7.99 at the Warehouse.  This is just going to be a very simple how get this effect.  All very easy, couple of layers of paint, a lime wash and a sand and you are done!

Every year I partake in Twitters  #nzsecretsanta (ok so this was on the 2nd year of it running, but I have taken part in both), this year I drew a twitterer which I did not follow so did not know at all.. In her profile it has she is a librarian and a few days earlier I received an email from a friend with a necklace with book charms.  So naturally I thought right this is what I am going to attempt ...  the slide is  how it is done.

This is very easy way to jazz up candles these were just a pair I had lying around the house.   The possibilities are endless, designs, colours  great fun to be had!

Hot on the heals of my pinterest post!  This is one of the little gems I discovered. I made these for marketing my business at a local social media met up!  So keeping true with social media medium I did a scratch and win card with a QR code underneath.  Quite in ingeniousness I think.  But maybe that is just me.  

This is how you do it

  1. Print out you prize or as I did  qr code.
  2. Cover it with contact paper
  3. Mix paint 2 parts (silver metallic) with dish washing liquid ( 1 part) and paint over designated area 
Because the paint mix is painted over the contact paper it easily scratches off.  
Go on give it a go!

Oh...ahhhh  have you found #pinterest yet?  If not you are seriously missing out..  It is full of lots of pretty pictures,  yes pictures...  ideas, lots and lots of again I say prettiness, beauty and creative abundance  from every part of the globle....  There are photo's that lead to recipes, to tutorials,to blogs and so much more! All these you can save into catagories of your choice to refer back to, share with others that follow you or anyone for that matter!   Today a found how to make scratch and win cards, such a great little idea for marketing, I already know when and how I am going to use it. Seriously go now look!

I felt it was about time did some new designs,,, so here they are ... two to start with.  Dragonflies are still one of  my favourites as is the Eiffel Tower so these naturally were my first to create.
